About this site
My name is Robert Gergulics. From birth, my experiences
with nature became large influences in affecting my passion for the beauty
of the natural world. I spent most of my childhood years away from the
big cities, having been raised in the Hungarian countryside. Later travels
as a young man included Greece, Italy, and eastern Europe. I now live in
the northeastern United States.
My first camera was a Smena
8M that I received for my 9th birthday as a gift from my parents. Upon
my 15th birthday I purchased a Yashica
FX-3 SLR camera. I have also used a Nikon
F65, and a Nikon N90s. Currently
I am photographing with a Nikon F100 SLR
and a Nikon D2Xs, accessorized with
many different lenses, filters, scanners, and so on.
In 2000, I became intensely interested in the photographic
process and started reading all of the information I could find. I am presently
learning about the new digital technologies.
I am constantly searching for the rare moments when
perfect light embraces nature in all of it's glory. This site is my tool
for displaying and sharing some of my visions and discoveries during my
travels. Please feel free to provide your honest feedback regarding my
photos and site. For me, this is the best way to learn.
